At the urging of LeadMN, community colleges across the state have begun to use their federal stimulus dollars to forgive student debt to institutions. This will allow students to continue their education and not let the pandemic hold them back from continuing their education.

"The community college student association LeadMN asked Malhotra on Monday to develop vaccine outreach plans for each system college and university. LeadMN also urged the chancellor to use federal COVID-19 relief funds to pay students to promote vaccination to their peers, and to reward vaccinated students with a $250 scholarship."

We urge you to immediately convene a system group to provide leadership to campuses in developing a back-to-school plan to boost vaccine participation of students.
