Axel Kylander, president of LeadMN, the two-year college student association, wanted Malhotra to adopt a systemwide approach that relies on student-to-student outreach.

“The Chancellor’s partial vaccine memo is too little, too late,” he said. “We are facing an unprecedented public health crisis (that) requires a coordinated approach to engage and educate students about the safety of the COVID-19 vaccine. Leaving this up to campuses will create a patchwork of solutions that will fail to engage students.”
