The Pioneer Press reported on the new requirements from Minnesota State system office that certain students need to be vaccinated for the year ahead. The article features a quote from LeadMN president.
Axel Kylander, president of LeadMN, the two-year college student association, wanted Malhotra to adopt a systemwide approach that relies on student-to-student outreach.
“The Chancellor’s partial vaccine memo is too little, too late,” he said. “We are facing an unprecedented public health crisis (that) requires a coordinated approach to engage and educate students about the safety of the COVID-19 vaccine. Leaving this up to campuses will create a patchwork of solutions that will fail to engage students.”
