Back in February, LeadMN proposed a new systemwide Basic Needs Policy to the Minnesota State ad-hoc Basic Needs Committee. These policy provisions provided a basis for the ad-hoc committees recommendations that were recently approved by Minnesota State that will be recommended for implementation at all colleges and universities. Nearly 85% of the campus recommendations included in the list were originally a part of LeadMN's Basic Needs Policy proposal. When implemented, these recommendations will provide a major step forward to ensuring that every college has the support in place to meet the needs of today's students.
