Looking for help with paying for college? LeadMN scholarships are a great way to cover some of the cost of your tuition bill. Scholarships are offered to any Minnesota community college or university student in the amount of $500 to $5,000.

Elizabeth Pegues Scholarship Matching Program for Students of Color
- identifies as a student of color
- a Minnesota resident and graduate from a Minnesota high school or any Minnesota State community, technical or consolidated college
- unconditionally accepted at one of the seven Minnesota State Universities in a 4-year bachelorette degree
- received a scholarship from a Minnesota-based civic, religious, fraternal, social or nonprofit youth-serving organization
Barbara J. Penny Community Service Scholarship
- any Minnesota State undergraduate or graduate student who is committed to community service
- must have completed at least one semester at a Minnesota State school
- must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
Timothy J. Penny Public Service Fellowship
- any Minnesota State undergraduate or graduate student interested in a public service internship is eligible -Internships may not be underway at the application deadline.
- Internships must be within a year of the award
- Students must have completed at least one semester at a Minnesota State School
*This year we are allowing virtual internships in D.C. that will have the $2,500 award amount and if students secure an in-person interview in D.C. they will be awarded the full $5,000 amount. -must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
