Emerging Leaders Program
LeadMN expanded its partnership with the Charlie Academy this year to help us develop and launch the LeadMN Emerging Leaders program. The Emerging Leaders program gives students the skills and confidence to prepare them for their career after school. Students identify personal strengths and challenges within these skill sets and identify practices and techniques to help them grow. The program was piloted with a core group of students this fall and will roll out to nominated students in 2022.
Moving Back to In-Person Conferences
The year saw a continuation of our pivot to virtual events. Starting with our annual January Student Leadership Conference and leading up to our Spring General Assembly, we connected students from around the state with adapted digital programming that taught them new skills, networked them with other leaders and gave them tools to advocate on behalf of their fellow students.
In August we came roaring back with our first in person event in over a year. At both our Incoming Leader Training and our October Student Leadership Summit, we offered a hybrid experience that engaged those in person and others participating from home. We look forward to the future events ahead of us.
