Karina Villeda - Vice President

What progress have you made on your Cabinet duties as outlined in the LeadMN bylaws?

Getting to know my role more and mading efforts to get more students involved in our organization. Communicating with my PC members and staff as best as possible so we can get the ball rolling and so I can be involved wherever I can. Networking with organizations involved with the same work and their strategies to prepare for the legislative session. Also, getting ready and doing research on our legislative agenda, excited for everyone to view what we will be up to.

What have you done or what is your plan to get students more involved with LeadMN?

I plan to be very communicative on social media platforms, emails, virtually, and on campus. I have set up some one on ones with some PC members and friends to help them get involved, learn, or help them develop a story. I plan on meeting new students during the January conference and getting them more involved. I will be visiting campuses soon as our plan is mapped out for more outreach efforts.

Chad Jacob - Treasurer

What progress have you made on your Cabinet duties as outlined in the LeadMN bylaws?

This past month has been a whirlwind! A special election was held on December 2nd to fill vacant cabinet positions and I feel honored to be elected by my fellow regional GC members to the position of Treasurer. Having started in this role during what is approximately mid-term and lacking typical context and training there's been a lot to catch up on! The members of my fiscal committee (Juan and Deanna) have been great while I'm learning the ropes and I look forward to our next monthly meeting now that I understand the process and responsibilities better. With finals, the Holiday season, and upcoming January conference it's made for an interesting first month :)

I look forward to serving and representing student interests during this upcoming semester and seeing many of you at upcoming events!

What have you done or what is your plan to get students more involved with LeadMN?

I assisted with finding a new GC rep for SE MN to replace that vacant position and once affirmed will be helping them to get started in their role. Additionally I'll be working with all the staff at LeadMN to make the January conference a success.
