Maxwell Danzl-Lage

Equity & Inclusion Intern

Maxwell Danzl-Lage (he/him/his) started his college career at Minneapolis Community and Technical College in the fall of 2022. He quickly joined the student senate and helped promote efforts to get students back on campus.  Through his student senate participation he connected with LeadMN and started communicating with others in the metro west region.  He has attended every LeadMN conference and event since January 2023. 

Majoring in both Political Science and History, he has an aspiration to work in government and create change down the line. Max see’s LeadMN as a way to address historic and current inequities inside the education system. He feel’s that LeadMN has given him a voice and community and wants to ensure future students have the same opportunity to find a good education, voice and community. 

Max’s current role is the Equity Intern Position, He will make sure to support LeadMN efforts to improve the educational quality and experiences for students from underrepresented and marginalized backgrounds within Minnesota. Max will help the Equity Department develop, create, and implement equitable policies and procedures within LeadMN - with one of the largest projects being and supporting outreach efforts under our Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) COVID-19 outreach grant. Max has worked in government before with the City of Minneapolis and is excited to use his office and advocacy skills.   

Maxwell enjoys spending Friday night’s with friends, playing Dungeons and Dragons on the weekends, and meeting new people.
