LeadMN is grateful for the opportunity to serve thousands of college students over the past 20 years! Imagine all the victories the students reveled in and all the obstacles they had to overcome in order to be successful. Think of all the staff, cabinet, alumni, advisors, community members and organizations, and other student leaders that supported them along the way. We are victorious if we surround ourselves with determined, confident, and diligent people. That is the culture we strive to build at LeadMN and we are very proud and grateful to be present during this time of celebration of its 20th anniversary!

This year to commemorate the existence of this great organization and the many people that have been involved and supported the mission over the last 20 years, LeadMN will be showing their gratitude by giving back to the community. We will be participating in a volunteer activity and we invite all LeadMN family and friends to join us. Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 23, 2018, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.

We rely on all communities throughout the state to support college students. Whether that be organizing ways to make food and housing more accessible, offering safe spaces in times of need, or creating opportunities for students to learn and grow. There are many organizations doing great things and that is why we choose to volunteer and give back to community members that continuously give back to us.

Let us remember and be grateful for not only our accomplishments, but the failures as well. Without failures we cannot grow and become wiser, stronger, smarter, and more courageous. Take pride in learning what it means to persevere. From the wise words of Thomas A. Edison, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

Congratulations to LeadMN on 20 years of service and continued growth. May the LeadMN community continue to help transform the lives and build success for the public two-year college students throughout Minnesota.

Join us on Saturday, June 23 from 2-4 PM!
