Makayla goes to Rochester Community Technical College and is working on an Associate of Arts degree and a Veterinary Technician degree. She’s held leadership roles like Youth and Young Adult Council Co-Chair and IHL Youth Action Campaign Advocate with the Red Cross and served as Vice President of Student Council in high school, and also serves on RCTC’s Student Senate.

 

One of Makayla’s biggest accomplishments was founding a nonprofit while balancing school, which helped her grow as a leader.

 

Makayla is excited for the Student Advocate Internship because it’s a great chance to work with others, share ideas, and make a difference in students’ lives all over Minnesota.
