Makayla Anderson
Board of Directors, Region 3
Rochester Community & Technical College
Makayla Anderson is a Nursing student at Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) and currently working as a Nursing Assistant. She’s passionate about helping others and making a difference, both in healthcare and in her community.
Makayla is an avid volunteer and intern with over 30 organizations nationwide, including the American Red Cross, the Alzheimer’s Association, LeadMN, the American Cancer Society, FEMA, and more. Through the Red Cross, she’s been involved in humanitarian law education and outreach, helping people learn about the importance of human rights and compassion in times of crisis. Makayla joined LeadMN because she believes students can make real change when they work together, and she wants to use her skills and experiences to help represent student voices and improve college life for everyone.
Outside of school and volunteering, Makayla enjoys community events, creative hobbies like making cards, waking her dogs (Hero and Fernando), and finding new ways to give back. No matter what she’s doing, Makayla tries to bring empathy, hard work, and a focus on making a positive impact.
