Andrew Anaya Ledesma

Board of Directors, Region 2
Ridgewater College

He/Him

Andrew’s interest in solving urgent issues and creating positive change for students steered him towards LeadMN and their mission. Having joined the student senate on his campus, he saw the direct positive effect that he could have for students on campus. In May of 2025, Andrew attended the Spring General Assembly, representing his student senate as Vice President elect. Looking to broaden his impact on students, Andrew decided to run for a seat on the board of directors at LeadMN.
Andrew plans on maximizing the opportunity given, to best serve the students as a board member. He aims to connect with students regionally and statewide to build profound relationships with the students and understand their demands as scholars to further maximize their education. With a decline of government post-secondary funding, Andrew plans to advocate for an increase of investments for education at a state and federal level through representatives, senators, and other individuals from the government. Through his desire in studying business and finance, Andrew also seeks to analyze and assess LeadMN’s bylaws and the finances of the organization.
Outside of LeadMN, Andrew studies at Ridgewater College as well as Inver Hills. He is a student leader in his Student Senate, Phi Theta Kappa chapter, the Latinos Unidos club and a student representative on the Inver Hills Foundation Board. He also runs his real estate business and is working on a magazine with a few others. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends, talking about music and fashion, lifting weights, playing sports, filming videos and taking pictures.
