Pregnant & Parenting Student Scholarship

Being a student and a parent is a powerful act of perseverance. The Pregnant and Parenting Student Scholarship supports two-year college students who are balancing their education with the responsibilities of raising or expecting children. This scholarship helps reduce financial stress by covering education-related expenses – such as tuition, childcare, transportation, and emergency needs – so students can stay focused on achieving their goals.

This scholarship awards $1,500 for the 2027 fall semester. Up to 74 scholarships of $1,500 each will be awarded. Application deadline April 1, 2027

Who can apply:

  • Any student currently enrolled at a Minnesota State two-year college
  • Students who are pregnant, parenting, or serving as primary caregivers (including fathers, adoptive parents, and guardians), and can demonstrate financial need.

  • Proof of current enrollment at a Minnesota State two-year college
  • Short essay (300-500 words) describing how this scholarship will support you as a student who is pregnant or parenting.
