Abusufyan Harbi, also known as Sufy, got involved with LeadMN in the fall of 2022 as a representative for the West Central region as a Governing Council member. The following year in May 2024 he was elected as the Cabinet President of LeadMN.

Sufy was born in San Diego, California but was raised in rural Willmar, Minnesota. He was on the Student Council throughout high school and middle school, and he has been a member of the Student Senate throughout college. Sufy believes that every student deserves a voice and deserves proper representation for their needs.

He currently attends Ridgewater College in Willmar, where he served as the Student Senate President and is now the Vice President on his campus. In his free time he likes to give back to his community, whether that be through the church or the local nonprofit as a volunteer. He also likes to give his time back to one of the local elementary schools as a lunch buddy to help young students that need a friend. Sufy also likes to workout and spend time making short films with his friends.
