Marie Kuhlman, a 46-year-old student at Century College in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, is on track to graduate in May 2025 with four associate degrees: Criminal Justice, Social Work, Sociology, and Liberal Arts & Sciences. Demonstrating strong leadership and a passion for student advocacy, Marie currently serves as the Director of Legislation for the Student Senate and is the President of the college’s Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) chapter, Alpha Alpha Gamma. In
2024, Marie took a key role in organizing a successful Get Out the Vote (GOTV) initiative on campus, emphasizing the importance of civic engagement and student participation in democracy.

A proud Minnesotan, Marie is deeply committed to their home state and is eager to expand their advocacy work beyond the campus. Their goal is to channel their passion for education, social justice, and student rights into a broader impact at the state level. With a dedication to both academics and community involvement, Marie is positioning themselves as a dynamic leader ready to contribute to shaping public policy and championing causes that affect students and underrepresented groups in Minnesota.Thanks for this wonderful opportunity to be a bigger part of making a huge difference in communities and with other people in Lead MN.
