Lisa is attends Minneapolis College is pursuing a Biology degree in hopes of eventually going into Osteopathic & Orthopedic medicine, as well as research in regenerative medicine. After experiencing a life altering ACL tear injury & surgery in February 2025, Her injury created a necessary change in learning how to lead. She applied for an internship through LeadMN to continue building leadership skills.
Lisa served as club leader of Urban Farm Collective Fall 2024-Fall 2025, gardening at Loring park in raised beds, donating produce to the school food shelf and host club meetings on sustainable practices. Lisa is an NSF scholar and about to complete her first undergrad research experience on duckweed doing an elemental analysis on possible contaminants, after completion, an Anova comparative test will be performed and used as subjective and interpreted evidence. This research was formed to support sustainable inner city agricultural practices. Lisa is passionate about building the bridge between human health, food access and how policy impacts access to resources.
Prior to returning to college, she worked as a massage therapist doing clinical work for people with whiplash, carpal tunnel syndrome and chronic shoulder pain. In her free time, you can find her studying human anatomy, walking her dog Deet, horseback riding, watching women’s sports, working out or gardening at Loring Park.
