he/they

Khalid Bradford is a student at Saint Paul College & Century College who is passionate about leadership, equity, and helping their peers succeed. As someone who has served in student leadership and advocacy roles, Khalid has seen firsthand how important it is for students to feel that their voices are heard and that their needs are met. LeadMN’s mission to empower two-year college students across Minnesota inspires them because Khalid believe every student—no matter their background—deserves access to the tools, resources, and opportunities to succeed.

Khalid is interested in being part of the work that breaks down barriers, whether that means advocating for food and housing security, promoting financial literacy, or ensuring transparency in how student fees are used. Through LeadMN, they look forward to building on their strengths in strategy, responsibility, and advocacy. Khalid is especially excited to grow as a leader by participating in trainings and events, and to use their skills to make a real impact on campus and across the state.

Their goal is to uplift voices that are often underrepresented—students of color, first-generation students, LGBTQ+ students, student parents, and others who may feel left out of higher education spaces. Ultimately, Khalid sees LeadMN as an opportunity to not just lead, but to learn, connect, and create meaningful change that will benefit both their campus community and the wider Minnesota college system.
