Introducing the Alumni Circle
Starting this fall we are reimagining alumni engagement as a flexible network designed to keep alumni connected to LeadMN and each other. Instead of being structured like a traditional membership organization, the Alumni Circle will focus on creating opportunities for connection, learning, and impact. Share Your Experience
Many alumni told us they want opportunities to give back through their knowledge and experience. Beginning this year, alumni will have new opportunities to at the General Assemblies to:
- Lead workshops
- Serve on alumni and career panels
- Participate in Coffee Connections with other alumni
- Share professional expertise and leadership lessons
Alumni will also have opportunities to provide workshops on select topics for our Incoming Leaders Training and serve as mentors during Advocacy Day: helping students prepare for legislative meetings, build confidence in their stories, and navigate the policymaking process. Alumni a la Carte
One of the most exciting ideas to emerge from our conversations is Alumni a la Carte, a mentorship and connection program that allows alumni to share their expertise in ways that fit their schedules and interests.
Want to help a student navigate transferring to a four-year institution? Review resumes? Talk about careers in your field? Share advocacy experience? Alumni a la Carte will allow students and alumni to connect around specific topics, skills, and experiences.

Alumni Spotlight
The Alumni Spotlight is a monthly feature in our Alumni Circle Newsletter. It’s an opportunity to celebrate your accomplishments but also helps current students see the many paths that begin at Minnesota’s two-year colleges.
