Hello to everyone in the dot com world, I’m Isaac Jahraus President of LeadMN. I just wanted to give you all some basic background info to what I do on the daily. Let’s start when I took office on July 1st of this year and was elected at our Spring General Assembly at Breezy Point. I had a unique perspective on already being in the Cabinet as Treasurer, so the learning curve was not as steep for me. With that being said there was still A LOT to learn, more emails, Asana, A-Team, CCO team, Board of Trustees (BOT), Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) search, Stabinet meetings and GOTV to name a few. Once I got that under the belt I was put to work right away.

Soon after my election, the Minnesota State Interim Chancellor Malhotra was hired. He oversees the entire system and is a crucial piece in getting our work done. LeadMN had a welcome event for the Chancellor at our newly renovated Mark M. Welter Center for Learning. The Mark M. Welter Center for Learning is the space that we transformed from a warehouse to a state of the art training center. It is a great location for hosting events. In the space I also attended the Minnesota State Student Diversity Task Force. We reviewed past items the taskforce discussed in the previous years and also outlined future plans.

Finally, a big part of my job has been meeting those in State positions. For example, Jamie Simonsen is the Interim Chief of Staff so anytime I need to schedule a meeting with Chancellor Malhotra she is who I contact.

I am looking forward the September Conference at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College in Cloquet, Minnesota. I hope to see many of you students present and engaged. As always don’t forget to enjoy life and remember if you can’t be safe, be careful.
