Rue Monroy Larson

Rue Monroy Larson goes to Normandale Community College in Bloomington, MN. While he is studying at Normandale he plans to get his major in social work, and their minor in public relations. He has a long history of advocacy work with nonprofit organizations like OutfrontMN, Gender Justice, Youthlink, etc. Rue was a Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA) leader in their high school. They also are a part of a Diversity equity and inclusion commission (DEI), on which Rue Monroy Larson is a young adult representative.
Rue has given multiple speeches before to staff and teachers in his district about how to be inclusive towards all students but especially the minority group of students. From a young age Larson would be a leader in how he treated others. Some academic accomplishments from Rue is that he is a full time PSEO student, and manages steady passing grades while also having two part time jobs. Rue is passionate about advocating for his community and making sure that everyone including the Queer youth have space to find and use their voice.
