Rahhel Haile (Program Director for MN Youth Collective), Representative Hunter Cantrell, South Central students Hayley Qualley and Kyle Cavenah

On Thursday, April 4, students gathered at the capitol to tell legislators, once again, that a tuition hike is simply not an option for most of Minnesota’s college students.

Students from M State – Moorhead, South Central – Faribault and North Mankato, Ridgewater – Hutchinson, Inver Hills, Minneapolis College and St Cloud State University joined together to tell stories of the barriers and opportunities they see in higher education. The high cost of college is impacting students across the state, and the attendees who were willing to share their stories on behalf of all Minnesota students are truly exceptional student leaders.

If you weren’t able to make it, you can still share your experience with your representatives by writing a handwritten letter, or sending an email.
