LeadMN has worked to keep tuition frozen for the last seven years, and in that time Minnesota colleges have dropped from the third most expensive tuition in the country to the eighth most expensive. There is still a long ways to go in making higher education an option for all Minnesotans. Many states around the nation are addressing college affordability by implementing College Promise programs, which typically provide enough grant or scholarship aid to guarantee a student can attend tuition-free. LeadMN will continue to advocate for increased affordability for all students at Minnesota State colleges, through tuition freezes and our Promise Campaign.
