During the 2020 legislative session, LeadMN student leaders will be advocating to make improvements to transfer, college affordability, food insecurity, and FAFSA completion.

1. Because of the ongoing need to create clearer transfer options for more students, LeadMN supports expanding transfer pathways to new academic areas and aligning the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum at community colleges.

2. LeadMN believes that food insecurity should no longer be allowed to impact student success. This is why we are requesting funding to help support our students and colleges in working to become Hunger Free Campuses.

3. Because of the increased access to financial aid and a college education, LeadMN supports requiring FAFSA completion as a high school graduation requirement, with students being able to opt-out for any reason.
