Grace Horn

Treasurer
she/they

In January of 2024, Grace attended her first conference with LeadMN while they were representing their campus as Student Senate President. After their initial involvement, Grace decided to attend the annual D.C. Summit organized by LeadMN in March of 2024 to expand her civic involvement. This summit unlocked an unprecedented passion for advocacy and immensely brought out her leadership skills. During the summit, Grace helped others within her regional group prepare their legislative speeches, took on a leadership role to initiate legislative meetings within her group, and spoke about the influence the entire summit group had on others alongside the importance of advocating for those who have yet to find their voice. Speaking with legislators in Washington D.C. was a privilege that Grace did not take for granted; she wanted to continue her civic advocacy work by running for LeadMN cabinet. Their dedication to helping others, advocacy, and leadership are motivators to extend their strengths to students in their personal journeys of professionalism, development of leadership skills, and to help them initiate changes within their communities.

Grace took interest in the Treasurer role for LeadMN due to her professional background in finance, and her educational background in business. They currently are attending their senior year at Minnesota State College Southeast in Red Wing, majoring in Business Management. Outside of LeadMN and college, Grace works two jobs; one in banking and the other in retail.

In her limited free time, she enjoys her life as an artist of many types. They have a deeply rooted passion for singing/songwriting and playing the guitar. Ceramics, glass blowing, drawing, painting, and story writing are also passions that Grace carries. She lives a busy life in the greater Red Wing area with her three cats, of which she spent most of her life.
