The US Department of Education recently shared how it will distribute $56 Million to Minnesota's community and technical colleges as part of the federal CARES ACT. Half of this money is designed to provide immediate emergency relief to students that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
A survey by LeadMN found that Minnesota's community and technical colleges are struggling with the impacts of COVID-19 from mental health challenges, to job losses, to moving all classes online.
Today, LeadMN urged the Minnesota State System office to consider the following issues in their guidance to colleges and universities to ensure that students get the relief that they so desperately need right now.
