capitolThis four-day virtual trip to DC will help you uplift student voices in the halls of the capitol to make college affordable, address racial equity, and ensure that student basic needs are being met on campus.

Attendees will gain hands-on experience working on federal higher education issues, insight into how Washington DC works, and have a little fun.

Sunday, March 21
1 pm - 5:30 PM
Attendees will learn about the federal higher education issues that Congress is discussing and we will play the legislative training game. This game will help students develop a plan on how they plan to talk with their members of Congress and hold a mock meeting to ensure that they are prepared.

Virtual Tour of the Memorials

Monday, March 22
4:00 - 7:00 PM
Attendees will work to develop their personal story and hill staffers will share tips and techniques for effective lobbying.  The night will end with a fun scavenger hunt for participants. 

Tuesday, March 23
Meetings with members of congress will be scheduled throughout the day.

6:00 - 8:00 PM
There will be an event celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the 26th Amendment. 

Wednesday, March 24
Meetings with members of congress will be scheduled throughout the day.

5:00 - 6:30 PM
We will host a simulated U.S. Senate floor session on the Green New Deal.
