Help us build a movement to strengthen civics education in Minnesota’s community colleges. Now more than ever, it is critical for Minnesota’s community colleges to help educate students to be responsible citizens.
That is why LeadMN, the student association for Minnesota’s community and technical colleges, is partnering with The Democracy Commitment to host a one-day summit for faculty and staff on October 20. The summit will provide opportunities to learn about ways that you can integrate civics learning across the curriculum.
The event will explore the civic spectrum and the journey that students can take to become engaged citizens, include a conversation about the theory of change, how to develop action plans to implement on campus, and a democratic dialogue exercise that is developed by the Kettering Foundation.
