The ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge hosted its second biennial awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. where select higher education institutions, educators, and students were recognized for excellence in student voter engagement during the 2018 midterm elections. Award winners were selected for their exemplary leadership in supporting students form the habits of active and informed citizenship. LeadMN was honored with the 2019 Champion Award - Standout Campus Partner.

In a remarkable midterm election, student voter participation more than doubled from 2014 to 2018. The 2018 average institutional voting rate is far closer to those of the last two presidential elections than to previous midterms.

Several Minnesota public colleges, universities, and private universities earned the top recognition in national student voting. The Platinum Campuses, having a voting rate of 50% or more, included Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Inver Hills Community College, Minneapolis College, Metropolitan State University, Hamline University, Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Olaf College, and University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.

Congratulations to all the campuses who earned this recognition! We are so proud of Minnesota students remaining civically engaged and we look forward to breaking more records in the 2020 election!
