Joyce Petsch served the state of Minnesota for 40 years, working the first 14 years in the agencies of Minnesota Department of Agriculture, Minnesota Public Utilities Commission and Minnesota Telecommunications, and then transferring to higher education for the last 26 years until retirement by working at Metropolitan State University, Minnesota State University System and Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System.
After retiring, she worked part-time as the executive secretary of the MnSCU Foundation, raising funds for student scholarships and programs, until it was dissolved.
In May 2015, she became the associate development officer and scholarship manager at LeadMN. All her positions in marketing, public affairs, advancement, and development have served as ‘stepping stones’ throughout her career.
In her spare time, Joyce loves being with and participating in her grandchildren’s school sports and events be it here in Minnesota or in Colorado; enjoys gardening; running, biking, swimming but has retired from competing in triathlons; and traveling.
